BP1-Welcome to Places with a Paddle!

I wanted to start at the beginning. But I'd say its tough to start from the beginning. Its actually tough to know where the beginning is.  It stems from many generations before me, passed to my grandparents, on to my parents and fortunately to my brother and myself as well.  It is a great love for the outdoors.  A deep and nameless desire to breathe in fresh air, be surrounded by trees, and connect to something bigger than yourself.  I relish being able to sit in my kayak on an untamed river and dip my paddle into waters that answer to no one.

I created this blog to share with you my experiences exploring places with a paddle.

Smiles,
Jackie

  1. You've stirred some marvelous memories. I spend countless high school weekends on the river with friends, scouting on the way to the canoe drop-off and planning the best places to cool off for lunch. Sometimes we'd camp too. I am waiting for the kids to get a little better at swimming before I drag them down the rapids. Used to race the Susquehanna River from Cooperstown to Bainbridge every summer for 5 years with the Girl Scouts. Thanks for the memories!
